First.... many, many thanks to Redwine for inspiration from his Debth Charge FX mod... his pioneer particle settings and cloud_bubble.tga were the foundation for this Tweaker Mod...
Here are some preview screenshots of my enhanced Tweaker Mod for DC explosion, Torp explosion (underwater), Debris explosion, Oil Trace and Decoy Bubbles... I'll be posting the Tweaker screens soon: Big DC Explosion (longer lasting bubbles, too!): ![]() ![]() Big Torpedo Explosion (underwater - magnetic pistol): ![]() Big Oil Trace: ![]() Big Debris Explosions: ![]() ![]() Big Decoy Bubbles (longer-lasting, too!): ![]() Cordialement, Duke of Earl

Congratulations Duke !! Good job man. I note in the depth charge explosion you let the second effect in the same size of the first. Plus i commented you i was not able to enlarge the remaining bubbles at last of effect, did you found the way how to in example make them too large as the decoy bubbles ? Interesting if you found how to have a big mass of bubbles as final effect. Godd job ! |

Great job Duke!
Do you will post the file to download? Perhaps with all the oil&fire tweaks too (from the other thread) ? Many thanks, mate! Rubini. |

Pics look great!!
Now if only we could find a way to make AI sound detection shut down for a few minutes after the DC's go off like in real life.

Sadly the depth charges seems to have modelled only the explosion sound and not the bubbles sound. [Hydrophone] Detection time=1 ;[s] Sensitivity=0.04 ;(0..1) Height factor=0 ;[m] Waves factor=0.8 ;[>=0] Speed factor=15 ;[kt] Noise factor=0.8 ;[>=0] May be if a decoy can be linked to the depth charge explosion, we can have that you are looking for, sadly i dont know how to do it. |

Hi Redwine
I recall this was discussed in the pinpoint drops thread awhile back-nothing ever came of it. I do have the Sim.Cfg edited to death and it"s working ok-still be nice to have the DC explosions nullify the hydrophones as in real life. I read they were useless for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes afterward. There was talk of attaching or inserting one of the decoy noisemakers as one of the DC's but I guess that didn't work out.

I soupose in real life a DC explosion, not only can make deaf the pasive sonar of a DD, the bubble curtain can decoy the active sonar too. To insert a Decoy into the DC explosion is fine for me....... sadly i dont know how to add effects. If not i sure will make it, and plus i wll replace a debris floating box, those wich appears when shiks sinks, for the life boat from Sergbuto Sadly ia have not those skills........
