i have seen that a few times since loading that mod. even had a tanker colide with a c3 cargo and sinking it depriving me of a definate kill as i already had 3 torps in the water when it sank my trophy...

that is nothing new...only way I know of to fix odd convoy behavier is to download Improved convoys mod

He already has IC mod, because it is included with RUb1.45.....
I certainly agree that IC is good, but that just means that even IC won't be able to solve everything.

RUb1.45 includes IC, doesn't it? :hmm:
It's been a while since I've checked... How many KB is the Campaign_RND file? If it's 6311KB, then it is from IC.

I have IC (wont play without it, stock convoys drove me absolutely insance) and as so far, i ahve seen one incident where the convy was kinda.... haywire. One incident as so far that i can remember, and even that one wasnt as bad as vanilla.

I'm playing with the stockgame, only patched to 1.4 and have also seen this a couple of times. I don't know were you found this but i only came across it with convoys moving South to North along the Western Irish coast.
I believe there has also been a thread in the past mentioning that this could have something to do with the distance between ships in the convoy. There has been some discussion on this for sure... My guess, your mods should be OK.

I play vanilla SH3 only, and I often see crazy convoys, especially since the last patch. Before that I never got them.
