What happened to Brest?

I came back from patrol 7 July. Set out again on 4 Aug and it stated that new base was brest. The mission obj's stated wils start - return.
But Brest is nowhere on the map. I had tried using SH3 Commander and thought I had buggered up my files so uninstalled - reinstalled. Loaded from 7th july came back and same again. But I cannot see brest on the map. Any ideas?

Edit: Ps it's 1940

Ok so loaded up again. Got patrol null and start at wilhelmshaven and return to brest. Brest now appears on map.
But St Nazaire is no longer visible is this normal?

Hello U-Cass,
did you apply any patches/mods ? There was an issue with Brest or other towns/harbours missing if you used the world mod, or the original unpatched game, but i think some patch did correct this - sorry, don't know which was it. Someone else please ?

I did use Improved Convoys and SH3 Commander all others are graphical only. I have since re-installed and loaded save (pre these mods (i think)).
Brest now shows and am on my way but St Nazaire isn't showing

What version of SH3 are you patched up to?

Latest 1.4b. It's a bugger cause I don't want to load an earlier save as I am now in the midst of my first massive 4 lane convoy just west of ireland

Stick with 1.4b!

Just use the ESC - exit mission option.
I had a problem where I couldn't access my desk or choose upgrades for my boat for two missions. After some time went by it just sorted itself out

This bug happened to me too, issue resolved by Sept '40; Brest now shows on the map.
