quest about snorkel

hey guys
i ve 10000 renown, im on march 1944 with ixd2 , snorkels kost is 1500 but i cant have it ( im doing double click but nothing)
please help

yeah this happened to me, the only way I found to fix it was to mod the game a bit.

Go to My Documents/SH3/Careers/Your Name/Careers.

pretty close to the bottom and you should see Snorkelupg=-1

change -1 to 1262 and save it. Now restart the game and load your save and you should have it. (it will be easy to tell when you activate it ingame)

when do snorkels become available? I'm in mid 1940 right now and was wondering when that will be available to me, I'm in the first flotilla and have a VIIB.
