Was browsing thru Squadron.com's website, and found that Revell-Germany will be releasing a second 1/72 Type VII U-boat kit. This time it will be a VIIC/41! Woohoo! It apparently is based on the U-995, so we should be getting the late war flak tower, radar, and a schnorchel.
Can't wait for this one! Now I won't have to shell out for that expensive late-war conning tower and deck kit from Nautilus models.. |

Welp, I definitely hope it will be better than their last VII
Didn't look properly at the box when I bought it and when I'd finished putting it together, I saw that the control room alone takes up approx 40% of the entire boat! Number of bunks: 6! NO sonar compartment, NO navigation section, NO kitchen(!!!), NO nothing! Really VERY shameful. |
