Just a thought on U-Boat transfers...

I was poring through U-Boat.net the other day, and it occurred to me that the average boat lasted about 10 to 12 patrols, on average (if not sunk). Doubtless the wear and tear of operational use would render the boat fit for only training purposes. This happened to a number of famous boats: i.e. U-96 (11 patrols, then reassigned to training flotilla), U-552 (15 patrols, then reassigned as a school boat).

The idea I had would be to order the Kaleun and crew to a new boat - I remember that AOD CD used to do that. It was realistic and interesting.

Is there any way to mod this? Doubtless the new boat would have standard equipment on it, but no major engine upgrades. It could be one way of siphoning off hoarded renown points....
