Anyone check this out on Terrapin's site? Fox Mulder put together a mod with Russian ship models. My Russian is a bit rusty, he seems to indicate it won't work if you have Serg's Southampton mod. Anyone help?

I'm almost done with translation, sounds quite interesting, promises to include a 55 ton BB and a Hipper class "Tallinn" heavy cruiser. (both not completed in USSR, but fun fun fun in SH3!).
I'll try to download it and see if it works. If so - i'll post screenshots too. |

I translated it into english, but i haven't been able to test it because it crashes the game. I hope you have a better luck. Post screenshots please...
Tested by ‘Glaz-Almaz’ “Russian ships mod and Brazilian/Japan transport mod” Install: Unzip according to the file structure within the archive file. Launch the game. Notes: 1. Possible CTD in Museum when selecting Russia 2. The mod works with Sergbuto’s merchant ships mod 2.0 3. The mod DOES NOT work with Sergbuto’s Southampton-class cruiser. 4. Ships can appear in the single player campaing, but the chance of that is unknown. 5. Battleship “Soviet Union” has displacement of more than 55000 tons, and armed with 9 406mm guns and is the most powerful ship in the game. In real life, construction began on 5 ships, but none were completed. 6. Heavy Cruiser Tallinn until 1944 was named “Petropavlovsk”, and has very good top speed. Armament is similar to Admiral Hipper heavy cruiser – since Petropavlovsk was the sister ship. It was sold to USSR in 1940 with the Soviets promising to finish the ship. It was 45% complete, and during the war was used as a floating battery. 7. “Krasnodar” type tanker – one of the many medium sized tankers of the Soviet Union, similar to the “Azerbaidjan” class. 8. Future release plans an addition of the American battleship “Tennessee” class, with 12x356mm guns. Author: Fox Mulder. |

it does say you should use the Sergbuto's Additional Merchant's mod v2.0. After I installed it, I managed to see the ships in a single campaign.
This is the Sovetski Soyuz BB (from KGV) ![]() and this is the Tallinn Heavy crusier (much more believable I would say) ![]() I haven't tested the transport (not very interested). The fact that the mod crashes the game in museum is not very cool. The author should sort that out before next release. They do register for their mentioned tonnage though (55k and 19k). |

What about the original KGV and Hipper? Don't they disappear from the game? I guess that's where the crash occurs in Museum, after clicking on KGV or Hipper.

Is that the problem? They're based on the Hipper and KGV models? When I did a quick translation I thought it indicated a conflict with the Southampton mod...but as I said, my Russian is not as good as it used to be.

it crashes when you get to RUSSIA in the museum. I don't think the other ships dissapear = unless your Merchant mod is NOT installed. If it's not installed - it crashes when museum loads - period.

I think he has just renamed the files and folders in sea and roster/russian/ship. I tried this before with Sergs Southampton. Both ships work independantty, but when they meet eachother, the game crashes.
