Training missions

I don't wanna do the training missions anymore. (u know after reinstalling it) Wondering if there is anyway I can still get the renown like a mod or editing the config files. Thanking you for your help in advance.

1. First, you'll have to complete one patrol. Just start one and immediately return to base if you don't want to do a full patrol.

2. Exit the game through the menus after returning.

3 Open the 'Patrols_0.cfg'-file in the 'C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\[your career]'-folder.

4. Scroll all the way down until you see an entry saying something like 'DeltaRenown=50.000000'. It should be the 3rd line from the bottom.

5. Change it to something like 'DeltaRenown=5050.000000' or whatever you like your renown to be (it will be 5050 in this example).

6. Save the file. You could make a backup first if you like. Should've mentioned this in point 1, but... :P

7. Start the game, load your last save in the correct campaign, and voila...

PS. This will only work if you are in port, I think.

That info is saved in your MyDocuments folder, not the SH3 folder, so even if you uninstalled, it still should be there after a reinstall.

Yes, but only if you choose 'Keep old save games' when uninstalling the game.

How much renown you get for completing academy? 1500?

What about if I complete academy WHILE already few patrols done in career?

You get max of 1500. Don't know if you can start a career and go back and get renown for completing it later.
