Has anyone found a way to stop the waypoints system from influencing your speed? Here's some examples:
1. From a dead stop if you order "return to course" the engines automatically go to ahead standard. 2. Reaching the last endpoint stops all engines. 3. Deleting all the waypoints stops all engines.

The one that gets me most (in trouble) is standard-speed 'return to course', usually when submerged silent-running, and very close to a convoy/escorts. Of course it happens (standard speed) while plotting a new/single waypoint too. That's when escorts usually get me good! There's a couple tricks around this, but they don't always come to mind in a high-stress situation

crash dive causes the most problems for me. because it takes you to full speed. and sometimes i forget i am going that fast after i surface. a little TC and fuel go bye bye

It would also be nice to surface without battery charging automatically selected. That's very annoying. Any fixes for this either?
