What Naval Enigma Simulator are you using to decypher the messages BdU is sending you ?
I am using this one: http://www.hut-six.co.uk/m3/ Just fired it up again after not using it for ages. Works like a charm. But I am wondering if there is one that simulates the 4 rotor system as well. |

Ok, M3 means 3 rotors, but wich applet/programm/tool are you using ?
I use the "M3 Enigma Simulator" version 1.01 by Geoff Sullivan.

This is interesting. Does SH3 generate code from BdU wich reqires the machine (Enigma) that Drebbel posted.
Is this why I receive so few messages? |

Thank you for your reply Drebbel,
But I'm not sure I understand. When you say, enigma messages hidden in the game, are we talking about some kind of 'Bible Code' thing that only the chosen can ever hope to comprehend? And if so, are the MODs also riddled with the code which will, given the proper de-code, give us the secrets to life the universe and everyting (42)? |

Thank you Drebbel,
I was hoping to get a chuckle out of you with the reference to Douglas Adam's Hitch Hiker's Gude to the Galaxy. You should check it out when you are on your non-TC patrols. Thanx again waste gate Turbochargers Explained: The Wastegate |

Gentlemen, try this enigma: http://users.telenet.be/d.rijmenants/
This allows you to open the machine to change wheels manually - it deservedly won a programming award. |

I'd found this one:
http://www.ugrad.cs.jhu.edu/~russell...ma/enigma.html but it seems to be not working for the moment (?) Maybe it'll be back up in working order soon.

![]() Changing the rotors by hand is a great feature ![]() Now how about including a "clickable spot" or key in SHIII to start this thing. Can that be done ? |

Hi Drebbel,
your hot key idea to launch the enigma was a good idea, so I played about a bit this morning. Downloaded a free macro program which enables you to write scripts. Now if I press Ctrl + / whilst playing SH3 the enigma program launches. Of course it minimises SH3, so you have to Alt+Tab between the two programs as required. Only drawback on my pc is that the map graphics in the control room are messed up, so I use powerstrip to restore them - minor hitch, though. If you want more details I'll get back to you later, but I'm off to play cricket now. |
