Ive been hearing alot of mixed reviews on this patch (havent tried it myself yet at this point). Alot of people are saying this patch breaks more then it fixed, and didnt fix half of what they claim it does. Of course others have said the patch works fine and improved some things.

The patch has a major memory leak serverside....EA has said a hotfix will be out shortly..cross your fingers..

Hot fix was released just a few days ago, check ea's site for the download. Though the memory leak may be fixed; the server browser is still snafu.... I just dont understand why they just dont use the browser system used in say quake 3, CS: Source, or something that you know works.

Looks like a lot of servers are still running the unpatched version. I have not patched yet, myself.

There is now a "BF2 Editor mod" out as of Aug. 2. It can be DLed from FilePlanet. Here is the URL:
