Loaded SH 3 but it won't start

I loaded Silent hunter 3 on my windows 7 and Vista but neither one will start up. The windows 7 says it's missing something to do with "moviex" or something like that in an error window and that as far as it goes. I watched it load into the machine like it should but can't play the game at all. The Vista loads OK as well but gets to system operation needing to be windows 95 and that's as it won't go past that. I would like to get one of them working any one would be good.

Where did you install them ?

Never install in program files on either OS
Create a folder such as C:/Games and install it there

Ditto to bigboy. You will probably have to do an uninstall and reinstall. I have found that neither the SHIII or Windows uninstaller gets rid of all the files associated with SHIII. If. There are any left over files they can corrupt a new install. Invest in a third party uninstarrer to uninstall SHIII. Also make sure you delete the SHIII file in your documents file prior to your new install.
