Very nice, I like the netting on the Sherman. I really must continue my Firefly at some point.

Gauze is a great idea for netting. I bet it would work well to simulate netting on a fishing boat model.

Oranges are often packaged in plastic mesh sacks which would also do that job.

![]() That looks like a hairball out of the vacuum? j/k@Jim I'm working on a diorama with the SS John Brown that's 1/700. I'm also building ( at the same time ) a diorama with a Japanese tanker, Jap destroyer and US sub, also 1/700. The tanker has photo etched parts and was pretty spendy . I haven't started the tanker yet.@ TLAM, Those are some nice lookin' subs.

What do you guys use for stripping paint from a plastic model shell? Some folks recommend Pine Sol or 91% isopropyl alcohol.

I've used Testors thinner to limited effectiveness. I've never really had much luck stripping pain.

I understand Pine Sol will work fairly well but it takes a long time (24 hours or so) but 91% Isopropyl Alcohol will work faster and is less likely to damage the plastic.
