Starting first campaign without the tutorial

Didn't there use to be a way to skip the tutorial in the first mission? If so, I can't remember how.
Playing with real navigation, I really can't ever complete the tutorial missions, due to the fact that you can't plot courses. However, I never see the option to skip the tutorial part.
Is there a way, or do I just have to play the tutorial without real navigation, and enable it later?
