Default The worst weather...

I'm in a storm east of Ireland. It's my first war patrol in '39.

It's so bad that I can't recharge my batteries. Even with the boat surfaced it spends so much time underwater. The weather is forcing the boat to turn due west, and then it simply stops there. There's no forward momentum, cause the crew keep running from the diesel room to the electric room, and by the time they get there the boat is back in the troughs of the waves so they run back to the diesel room. I get the 10 meter depth notice 4-5 times a minute.

I thought moving from a type II to a type VII would be a pleasant experience.

They never talk about it, but this is why they don't use both toilets on the boat at once. They usually store provisions in one of the bathroom stalls to prevent it.

You should have enough men to fill both engine rooms. I assume that you added more crew once you upgraded?

Sounds pretty realistic to me.

If the batteries will allow, try submerging and ride it out. Barring that you can always bottom the boat (depending on depth) and wait 'till the CO2 levels force you up...

At least you can se your weather :P I just started a new campagn and had a wierd little bug where the sea looked calm, but my watch crew were insisting on wearing their oilskins. I couldn't man the guns and the 1WO was insisting that it was "heavy precipitation and 15 knot winds!" But it's sunbathing weather!!

Reloaded a save and I can at last see what all the fuss was about!
