Hearts of Oak will deliver - they have no distributor to keep happy.
I keep looking at their updates and daydreaming happily. Finally.... http://www.heartsofoakgame.com/ http://www.indiedb.com/games/hearts-...-november-2014

It should be good, I am pretty sure, though may be a few years off yet. Shame I can't get the current version of Pirates of the Carribean New Horizons mod working in the mean time. Crashes a lot when transiting.
Oh and their is this kickstarter (Blackwake) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-in-the-age-of |

Age of Sail War sims
Er...! didn't the Capt Jack Sparrow games, do a bit of Naval to Pirate ship, fighting on the high seas.
I wish someone, would do a game, as per Nelson, and HMS Victory. And also, Master and Commander series, the Books where good. (And Hornblower series.) The real life Commander, for the above two, was Lord Cochrane, of the British Navy of that period. He's real life, book's are quite interesting, I found. PS I forgot Assassins Creed, apparently they are within there games do some sailing, etc. Last edited by Downunderjock; 11-19-14 at 02:56 AM. Reason: Forgot to add in thread, whoops |

iPad app which I like is Naval Tactics, very much like the 1975 Avalon Hill board game I used to play called Wooden Ships Iron Men.

It would have been hard to make me want that game more but this really has caught my interest. 3D games had never really appealed to me until now.
Wonder how much the rift is?

I hope this post is appropriate (off topic, I realize)...
Hey, that's cool about dosbox and WSIM! Does anyone know if the WSIM DOS program is solo-friendly (I have the board game)? |

I will check with the Dev team to make sure and post back here, but I believe that the Tech Demo may very well be 64 bit only.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond dsawan, we have been a bit busy. This first demo is 64 bit only, sorry mate. It also only utilizes DirectX 11, which causes the water to disappear if your are using DirectX 9.
That will not be the case going forward however, all future versions will work on both 64 and 32 bit, and will also include DirectX 9 support. I am not sure when the next one will be available, but it shouldn't be to long. |
