I need help to test my Dangerous Water connectivity

I spent three hours tonight trying to get a friend of mine connected to me for a game. I have no problem connecting to my computer with my laptop for a game (but then again, they're on the same router so I don't know if that makes a difference). We've opened the proper ports in our routers and in our firewalls. We've done the adapters.txt/dangerouswaters.ini thing on his computer because he had three adapters listed. We've even tried Hamachi and we just can't get his Vista computer to connect with my Windows XP one. I've been assuming that it might be some kind of Vista thing going on but I'm not sure. The only way to really test this is for me to host a game and have someone else try to connect to me and see if it works. If anyone wants to take five or ten minutes to help me test this, send me a PM.

My next step will be to download Hyperlobby and I'm probably going to have him try that.
Edit: Hyperlobby also did not solve the issue. Posting for help on their forums. I'm thinking the problem is on my end somehow.

Hey, I don't mind helping. I'm not sure how you want to set it up, though. We could choose a time, or you could send me your email address, or something.

I'd actually like to try playing a multiplayer game, too. :-) I've only played single player so far.
