We had our community Earth Day event last weekend. It was pretty good. We had about 6,000 people show up. I was on the staff. It was a lot of work but I felt good about the event.
I did not get much of a chance to see the event but such is the life of a staffer.

I'm celebrating we have gone beyond the "in ten years it will be irreversible time line." Lucky for us world governments took swift action by regulating outdoor BBQs and raising taxes to enforce these new eco-friendly laws.

No offense guys, and not to defend the oft-stupid enviro-nuts, but what you're posting here is also really childish

Whatchoo mean "You People...?"
Recovering from a hard night of music. Didn't get to bed until 0300. "Earth Day"? What's that?

Well, to be fair, I've seen some relatively unfair vitriol on the boards on topics concerning environment protection vs. consumer liberty. Usually along political lines, much like our usual "left vs. right" clashes. While I think the loud-mouths in the environmentalist community really, really don't help the cause, with people like Gore muddying the waters with extreme and easy-to-attack positions, I think I'm pretty clear as to where I stand on this issue.
Really, I don't mind a joke on this (or anything, really). But I personally also do take environmental issues seriously, and I really do support initiatives, under whatever name, to raise proper awareness of them. Sorry for the snap reaction anyway though, had a bad couple of days |

What another one? There was one a month or so ago about turning all your lights off for one hour.
No I did not...
