Question A Few Questions...

1) When I send a ping to measure depth under keel, does it give away my position to nearby warships?

2) I have a GWX/OLC install. Why is it that sometimes when my game is loading, the news text for that month ends or is cut short by the name of my savegame? Which mod is causing this?

3) When looking through upgrade options for my sub, sometimes the options look like misplaced text. For example, one of them says something like '15km visibility'

2. There is only so much space for the news to show, and the save game info does show there in stock SH3 as well so, neither mod is actually causing it.

3) Anyone?

Reference number 1) Would it give you away in real life?

3)Most mods have readmes; it helps to read them. 1)The answer is maybe because it depends upon...etc.
If using GWX, you must read the GWX manual3.0 to fully utilize the GWX megamod. This probably holds true for the other megamods also. (I think, but may be wrong, that the LivingSH3 mod is in German only however.)

Hi,

3) is a stock bug. The text string in stock is 'none'. See here:
