So I read that 24 hours after Ubi released SH5 the DRM was cracked ?? and I can only assume if it was fake or not fully functional that by now it has been fully cracked open??

Yes it was cracked within the first 24, it made news around the internet. AFAIK it was a fully functioning crack.

And second, just because Im curious, is cracking that illegal?? I mean TECHNICALLY, when you buy the game you buy all rights to that individual CD, so if you want to modify it in any way and as long as you dont send it out to friends and such youd be legally allowed to wouldnt you? I mean since it is yours now and you paid the money for it??

That gets a little gray. Some say it is illegal some say it's not. I suppose that you could do what ever you wanted on your computer and no one would be the wiser, so long as you didn't distribute certain files.

Again not tryin to tick anyone off, I know how everyonee hates DRM stuff in this forum but I was undeniably curious. And the only reason I ask this is because Im trying to see if my computer can even touch SH5 and as of right now Ubi's servers say my internet connection is down Funny, because Im getting a response from their servers telling me my connection is down and Im posting on here...

From what I've read here you're having a common problem. Many people have complained about that very problem and I believe it is attributed to all of Ubi's DRM games using the same DRM server. This is probably as much of an answer as you are going to get given Subsims policy of cracks,warez, etc.
