HOFFLER: DEPART ON OR ABOUT 05, SEPT 1939 FOR BE3 AREA AT ECONOMICAL SPEED. YOUR MISSION IS VITAL AS YOUR RECCE WILL ALLOW OPERATIONS TO COMMENCE AGAINST THE WESTERN APPROACHES. HUNT FOR CONVOYS WORKING THE WESTERN APPROACHES ON THE 'OA' AND 'OB' CONVOY ROUTES. AVOID ALL ENEMY WARSHIP CONTACTS. DO NOT ATTACK CAPITOL SHIPS AT THIS POINT IN THE HOSTILITIES. YOU MAY ENGAGE ENGLISH, FRENCH AND POLISH SHIPPING.


STANDING ORDERS

ALL EARLY BOATS MAY USE ANY TRAVEL ROUTE OUT OF KIEL.
ALL BOATS WILL REPORT STATUS 'REGULARLY'(*)
ALL BOATS WILL REPORT CONVOYS BEFORE ATTACKING.(1)

(*) DEPENDS ON REAL LIFE DUTIES, TC USE AND POSSIBLE RADIO DAMAGE IN THE SIM.
(1) BE SURE TO USE 'SDD' ("URGENT") IN YOUR ENCODED MESSAGE.

It's ok. But the doc said to be on the safe side I going to take it easy and rest for a week (Not going to try and get up my gf will kill me )

U-13 will be leaving port now, all crew and supply's are on board.

Patrol 1:
0 Ships sunk
0 dud torpedoes
0 tonnage

The weather was nasty, storms and fog , never saw a soul.
Nothing worth mentioning happened.
The only ships we saw were are own and they weren't even out at sea.

(It was pretty boring, didn't even see a plane)

U-13 will be leaving shortly on a Weapons test patrol.


(I'm still a little annoyed about that last patrol, lets hope the brits don't have their fog machine on this time)

February 1940 partrol round starts around 31.10.2010.

There is never a penalty for taking too long to do patrols as real-life duties are different for all. One can always catch up by time warping while in port.

Use a startime within the Dec/Jan period if starting a patrol this week.
