Default I'm an old people

Hey, those people are in my age group!

How many of you young-uns can work with DOS, batch files, floppy disks, or remember when entire games could fit within 1 Meg of disk space, including the graphics?

Do you know the difference between a directory and a folder?

Do you know what a root directory is?

What generation invented what you have today?

Heh my grandmother would have something to say about that. She is quite proficient and mostly self taught, and in her 80s. She uses it a lot to play bridge and other card games online, and to chat and stuff.

One meg of what?
My first computer was a C64 wtih a whopping 64k ram (minus the operating system) and the games fitted usually on a 128kb 5 1/4 inch disk. There was no hard drive. I even still had a "Datasette" (well that's the German term, it's actually a cassette player), though I don't recall ever using it.
1 Meg of disc space, that would have been pure awesomeness.

I'm feeling so old now.

I can use those all ad know what everything you have listed means. Also can do some programming in BASIC, Pascal and Turbo Pascal.
Had a 32mhz 386 (of course with turbo button) since 92, was 6 back then. Grew up ****ing around with computers.

Umm, I'm not too good with computers, but I can start and drive a Model-T Ford.

my first computer was a Texas Instruments TI-99, followed by an IBM XT clone. I also remember the original pong consoles from the 70's
