---------------------------------------------------------------------- Very detailed 3d models but these are not really a mod for Silent Hunter. They are just 3D models. I mean there have been very detailed modesl before e.g.: http://www.3dhistory.de But a mod is IMO something different. Besides it does not need to be that detailed. As far as I concerned Bismarck and Co. are only supernumeraries in a submarine simulation played on the German side. It would be a different story if I could take command and walk around though. More accurate models for the destroyers would be more important. The Fletcher for example does not look much like the real Fletcher thanks to its strait deck and high side... Anyway very nice 3D model. P.S.: Is surface mod possible in SH5? - Seems to be a lot of trouble to add a playable unit to SH5. |

Wow thats one nice detailed model. A lot of work must have gone in to that. Outstanding - Only thing is if you seen that in game you'ld never send a torp into it (Spend to much time admiring it, as it sailed into the horizon).

Great Work at all but this beauty will have 100.000.000.000 Polygons ore more and which existing SH-Engine can handle this ?????
It would be nice to see this ships in any kind of SH, perhaps same detailed allied freighters and tankers. Regards Maddy

Well the actual polycount on this VERY detailed vessel bust be astronomical in terms of what the game engine can handle. But I think hes merely making a point here. If there is enough will and time, there is atleast 1 very capable 3d modeler to enlist
This shows what I believe is the main concern.. there is very capable 3d designers out there.. its the actual programmers and scripters that is the shortage. I have to applaude you. You have skills in 3DsMax thats clear.. but the TIME... Curious.. the SS on the anchor.. without smoothing.. how many polys just on that? |
