Sub Shadow and Time of Day

I appologize if these have been discussed. Search did not find anything.

Is there a mod to reduce the external shadow of the sub? There is always a sharp shadow of the boat on the water in all conditions including at night, under overcast conditions, etc. It is ruining the eye candy emersion factor for me becuase it looks so wrong. I am using the environment mod 2.0, but have the same issue without the mod.

When I load a mssion save game the time of day always seems to change. I ran a mission, time progressed from about 5:30 AM to around 9:00 AM, but when I reloaded the save game, the time was back to about 6:00 AM, but the position of the sun seemed to be at 9:00 AM. Is this a known bug?

You can turn off the shadows option in the graphics settings interface before start the game
