Kyrgyzstan conflict

The Wiki - article calls it "2010 South Kyrgyzstan riots" but with maybe 700+ dead I'd call it a conflict that covers the whole nation and not a riot.

Both Russia and the US have a stake in the issue, the area is close to Russia and the US has a military base there which at one point was 'closed' due to the conflict. The base is vital in keeping US's war in Afghanistan going.

I jest not, Kyrgistan is screwed. It's a land-locked nation on a cultural crossroads with a provisional socialist government operating under the guise of a modern democracy, which is to say that it is socialist. No amount of anything will pull that country out of the gutter until they make their own changes.
