By Order Of BDU: Effective 06.03.2010 the following will take effect.

We will switch to the Krigsmarine grid system of 4 didgets. For your training and review there is a link to our new map and how to do the grid system below my signature. This will be mandatory on the above date. If you are comfortable with it you can start now.

Go to all HQ sites as some things have changed.

You may have noticed that Ihave started using German in some of my postings and messages. It must drive subsim forum members crazy.

The use of German is not manditory, it's just for better emersion. For those of you who want to participate I have put the translater I use below my signature.

I have not taken U-345 to sea for over two months now. I dearly love playing but with being BDU I dont have the time.

I am at BDU 6-7 hours a day acting as BDU. Do I miss GWX? You bet. I get my gameing enjoyment now from watching you guys play. I believe we are the only simulation that has a live interface with Headquarters.

Though I dont get a lot of response out of the subsim forum it is notable that over 25,000 subsin forum members are watching what we do. Our newest recruit (welcome him aboard) sent me a PM wanting to know what our signature ment. I explained it to him and he requested a transfer to our Flotilla.

Remember, even with real life we are U-Boot commanders. If you get tired request a leave.

Am a bit confused here.
Personnaly I always used the 4 digits location thing ( i.e. AN xxxx ) as most of us already do... ? ( See my KTBs and messages )
I thought this was mandatory from the beginning for improved location implementation...

Für den interessierten, habe ich diese Karte in 6 Teile zum abdrucken und zusamen kleben.
For those interested I have this map in 6 pieces so you can print it and make one large map.

(Auch im 16 oder 25 Teile, wenn Sie eine große Karte wie ich machen wollen - 165x130cm)
(even in 16 or 25 pieces if you want a really lagre map, like I´ve made 165x130cm)

Ich werde Ihre Karte, um mehrere Teile gespalten, wenn ich es auf HQ hinzuzufügen. Es macht es einfacher für alle.

I have a homeserver on which I will put the maps.

Please go to http://dragunov.homelinux.com
There you will see an inlogscreen (which is in dutch but not to worry)
Check the box "Andere account" (this is basically username) and type enigma
In the empty box under the text "Voer wachtwoord in" type enigma
(I know, I know not verry original)
Then you´ll see a menu and under filestation you can access the enigma material.
This folder now contains only maps.

If you have any interesting material you wish to share with other members you can put it there.

BE ADVISED!! Anyone has read/write access, so if you delete somthing it is gone!!
