Default History of Subsim

Neal, only you can know these things.

Which modder was the first to submit, ever?

Which modder has contributed the most mods?

When is the anniversary date of Subsim -- we should celebrate it.

Which modder has been contributing the longest?

Oy, just saw this one.

Which modder was the first to submit, ever? To my knowledge, Hawk was among the first with his Silent Hunter utilities. John Channing hacked the Fast Attack mission time limit. I made the first "realism pack" for Silent Hunter II (betcha didn't know I used to mod subsims too? Wish I had trademarked the term "realism pack".)

Which modder has contributed the most mods? Lord knows, I don't

When is the anniversary date of Subsim -- we should celebrate it. Easy: Jan 26, 1997. As you may have noticed a few weeks ago.

Which modder has been contributing the longest? Probably would be a toss up between Ducimus and Grey Wolves, they have been at it a while with no let up. Well, the GW retired recently, but their work lives on.

Default Thanks

I've been around long enough to remember those names. No I didn't know you were also a modder.

Why not have an annual announcement like, new modders this year, longest running modder, most prolific one?

These guys need medals, or at least recognition.

Say what? I started doing mods for SH2 1.06, before 1.1 and even before PMesserwetzer, and my last ones for Sh3 & SH4 were released last year

And I have also done mods for Dangerous Waters

In 2011 I haven't done anything *yet* due to lack of time, but let's wait and see.
