Confidential Flotilla Members Only Due to an overload on BDU and Staff we will no longer recruit from SH 4 & 5 Flotillas. Our current SH 4 & 5 players will remain with us as valuable members of our Flotilla and considered to be SHIII (GWX) players. As you may have guessed we have had some distractions the past week. Many of these have been Arcaders who join us and then can’t make it in our Flotilla. This has taken BDU & Staff time away from you. We started Elite and then slid a little. We are not going to slide any more and we are going to become even more Elite. We have established the following policy which must be followed if you want to become, and remain, an Officer in Flotilla Enigma. 1. Be a member in good standing of the Subsim Forum 2. Play SHIII (GWX) or have a separate install of SHIII for Enigma play. Except for those SH5 players who are already Flotilla Members. 3. When you start a patrol you must advise BDU. When you complete a patrol you must advise BDU. If BDU gives you an order you must acknowledge and respond. 4. The OS status/contacts are submitted to BDU in English using the BDU form. 5. While on patrol contact reports must be made. Other then noted above additional status, weather, or any thing you want. are up to you. BDU will try to respond to all. 6. Visit HQ and sign the visitor log at least once per week. 7. All recruits will start with the rank of Leutennant zur See and receive promotion of one grade after completion of training. Promotions are awarded by how you follow the above and your contributions to make Flotilla Enigma better and more elite. 8. You will appear on the Kapitain's roster as Active, Active Reserve, Pending, Recruit and Missing in Action. 9. Active is those who follow the above. Active Reserve are those who have requested leave and will return. Pending is for those who are waiting disciplinary action. Recruit are those in training. MIA is those who are unsuitable for our flotilla and will be removed from the Roster. 10. We realize that Real life (Computer down, work, school, vacation, travel and wives) can limit your time with us. If you are going to be away for awhile please request a leave. By doing so we will place you on Active Reserve rather then pending. 11. Recruit training is at your own pace using tutorials. Other Flotilla Members will help you. To complete training you must know and use the Tools at HQ. Send in at least three status report. Send in three Enigma messages. We have also remodeled BDU so things have changed. Please Visit BDU and check every room so you will know what has changed. Sign the Visitors log. (may not be open yet) Let’s become Elite again. All Flotilla members need to speak up on any thing BDU does. Use your creativity and Ideas to make us better Cheers, Ken |

I think this is better for dedicated members.
I am still geting spam on some reports. What would you think about leaving HQ open for all subsim forum members but locking the reports/message room and giving the password to our true active Enigma Captains? Think about it. Cheers, Ken |

![]() How about, we make two reports/messages pages? One for members only, and the other for non flotilla members. Send the latter to a different email address than the former, since those aren't really time or otherwise sensitive. I can take care those, if you want to. Just make a note on the message page, that delivery can be difficult due to atmospheric interference, or allied jamming and therefore can not be guaranteed, and that they will be processed as soon as a Radioman is available. |

These groups can be linked to a thread/forum with special rights (read only access, read and write access, no access). By adding or removing forum members from or to these groups you have a simple mechanism for allowing/disallowing flotilla members what they can do. Post messages, read only messages and so on. Check with Neal for more details.

Just discovered this at the SHIII forum.
What is the reason for my pending status???? "Pending is for those who are waiting disciplinary action" What did I do to deserve that status????? Great. Thanks and goodbye.

I assumed that pending was meant for kaleuns awaiting review for promotions. ![]() Just saw the clarification on the page. Very odd. |

I failed to fully to explain "Pending"
Pending is a holding area for disiplinary action, awaiting promotion, awaiting additional duties. The Enigma is on hold for additional HQ duties. It should also be noted that he is responsible for a lot of our Enigma training tutorials. I am not very good at composing memos. Ken |
