Default Differences in VIIA interior layout vs. later VIIs

Finally got my copy of the "Anatomy of the Ship" book on the VII, and noticed some pretty major differences between the interior layout of the VIIA when compared with later model VIIs. It wasn't really something I'd really thought about before - the lack of saddle tanks on the VIIAs placed many of the fuel oil and fresh water tanks inside the pressure hull, making an already cramped design ever more confining. I scanned the working deck plan of both the VIIA and VIIB included in the book and noted some of the main differences in the layout of the pressure hull:

The VIIA:

The VIIB:

Nothing terribly important, but I figure some people would find this interesting.

The plans in the book don't show one. Perhaps the sound gear on the VIIAs was so rudimentary the boats didn't have a dedicated sonar room. Perhaps a listening station in the control room, conning tower, or a corner in the forward torpedo room.

it looks like SH5 models the interior of the VIIB and later design.

I have had that book on my wishlist for a long time, may have to finally break down and buy it.
