During IIWW uboats were required to contact with the BDU, for example during meetings or at the request of position / inventory. This part of the game in SH5 (and in earlier parts of SH) is completely ignored. You can skip the contact with the BDU.
This proposal tries to change it. Contacts with enemy: -> No informaton "ship spotted!" No penalty -> No information "convoy spotted!" -5% morale points Requirements (like: U-69, where are you?): BdU require report about position / inventory each 48h after last uboat contact (or 48h after last BdU requirement). -> No response at whole patrol: Only 10% renown points -> No response for 48 hours after the request: -2% morale points each -2% renown points each

Thats a good idea- I have always wanted more from the radio messages, ie orders from BDU to change your current orders, or to ammend them.
Hope someone can help with this one
