Had a crash to desktop after trying to install some mods...My fault, Im sure..So Uninstalled SHV, including the Ubi launcher...Now when I try to reinstall I get an error dialog box and the installation stops.

Anyone got a fix or suggestion?

Check your MyDocuments folder for any leftovers from SH5, and remove those and reboot.

Oh, and welcome!

Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC for short) means that the data the computer copied has been corrupted.

I assume E: is your CD/DVD drive?

Check the disk for scratches, dust, or fingerprints. If it's the latter, try cleaning the disk. If it's scratched badly, try emailing Ubisoft for a replacement disk. Most software companies will charge a nominal fee to replace the media.

Hi,

Mmmh IDE DVD drive, big file and Error Cyclic Redundancy Check, looks familiar.

Be sure to deactivate all your antivirus, antispy softwares and retry.
If it doesn't help try to deactivate UDMA mode on your DVD drive and switch to PIO mode, it should help.
