I am wondering - does anybody know why the series "Spenser" with Robert Urich and Avery Brooks (Hawk) never was released on DVD? They published the small number of 90 min-movies that were shot after the series, but never the series itself.
This was one of my favourite series, and I still like to watch it occasionally, on VHS-longplay - with according low picture quality. I would love to own the original series with the first, original German synchronisation (there is a bad, misled trend to release old series but to give them new German synchronisation speakers and -translations, and often this new version then is really messing it up: "Magnum", for example: the old version from the 80s was great, the new version is a disaster).

Don't know. The show certainly deserves it.

What I remember about that series is that Spenser had a Beretta and Hawk had a silvery Colt Python I think.
Ok now I got to check if I caught those right. Edit. Yep, a Beretta and a silver 8" barrel Colt Python .357. |
