Where is the crew abilities tab in game?

I have a problem here.Maybe i hope I don't see it.At the manual at page 13 at the photo that shows the main game interface I can see at the bottom a tab that shows several crew abilities and I suppose that I can activate them instantly with a click.But that tab doesn't appear at my game.When I am hunting a ship and i want to go silent I have to get of the periscope ask my crewman to go silent and then go to the periscope again?And when i want to shoot a torpedo I hve again get off go to my torpedo man and ask him to preheat torpedo and again and again....?????????????????

I don't think that part made it in the final game, as there's no way I've found to activate abilities other than talking to the crewman directly.

I saw now that the controls from F5 to F12 cover some of the orders but again I need to test them in action.
