For a change of nick you'll need to contact the forum owner/admin Neal Stevens.

Default Hi fellow Kaleuns!

Hi there. I'm Ian, I'm 51 and I'm an alco - sorry, wrong thread I live in England, close to Heathrow Airport, and I look after PCs for a living. My bruv and I have just got hold of SH5, having been playing SH3 and SH4 pretty well since they came out. Just getting the hang of SH5 by playing the intro scenario and heading out through the infamous (and veeeerrryyyyy looonnnnggg) Kiel Canal. Have to say SH5 looks good, even compared to SH4 which was a treat for the eyes, I reckon, but too early to tell how the gameplay goes. I hate the fact that they've redefined all the key commands - have to get used to them all over again - and the idea of having to walk (or run) to stations to man them is a real pain.

you need to dig into the workshop forum, there are already many many mods to make SH5 fit to your own taste, to modify the key commands I use this Mod .... http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=168297

But there are another mod that need just to be enabled via JSGME to get the key commands similar to SH3

Default NittyGritty

Proud lancashire bloke, curry lover and clarets fan & DIYHome-Brewer, ex pop group frontman.

New to this game stuff but hoping to get into the game Silent Hunter 5. I have always had and been fascinated/interested in Submarines had the good fortune to go round and inside The German U-534 before it was cut up and moved to Liverpool, and is now

U-boat Story is a £5m attraction telling the story of World War II German submarine U-534. You will see into the cross-sectioned submarine and discover its amazing story through a highly interactive and exciting exhibition.

Hi, first time to actually post but i've been lurking around these forums, while playing SH4. Loved RFB. Anyway, finally got a platform to run SH5 properly so I find myself here.

Default Hi from NC!

Hey everyone!

I'm from NC, 25 years old. I've heard a lot of good things about SH5 and decided to buy it yesterday. I got hooked watching J2JonJeremy's "Lets Play Silent Hunter 5" on youtube and just had to give the game a shot!

He talked so much about the community here at SubSim that I decided to become a member and give the mods a try!

I look forward to becoming part of the community!
