Been away on a long range patrol but just arrived back at wilhelmshaven

Did well in SH3 so UBoat command gave me the chance to test the eels in SH5.
Nice to see some of the old captains around.

although I don't have SH5, I'll take this chance to introduce myself, because I've never done that since my first visit at subsim in 2008. Sorry for that.

My name is Henning, 44 years old, from germany. Working as research assistant at a university in germany.

Interests/hobbies: of course sub simulations. started with CAOTD, then SH1, then bought SH3 in 2008. Found GWX and NYGM here at subsim. Great mods. Until now I've never played a career, because always when I started to play, I found things which could be changed. So I tested hundreds of mods and made some mods by my own. That took so much of my free time, so that until now there was no time left for playing.

Other interests: Triathlon, chess, electronics.

HI new member here, served aboard the USS Kidd DDG-993 and USS Savannah AOR-4.. Like SH5 and have Hidef realistic interface 1.0 mod insatalled. Is there a TDC mod that will work well with this mod..??

You have it with the mod. What more are you looking for? Maybe you want the latest version of Reaper7's mod then.

I tried the Magnum Opus Mod and liked it.. But it caused my computer to freeze up. I think it may have been too much for my system to handle. I tried restarting my computer and it froze again..? The Hidef resolution Mod is good i just haven't used it much, and need to figure it out..

Always been a huge fan of simulator games (trucking and tanks especially)
SH5 is the first sub sim I have played although I recently ordered SH4 gold.

Hi I am Stewart from Liveerpool u.k. I have been playing Silent hunter 3 and 4 for some time and have tried lately to master the Silent Hunter 5 game.
Being totaly unused to moving around the boat in person insted of clicking a station I have had a hard time getting through the training with such a lousy handbook. I have piocked some tips up from the guys on her prepared to let others on to thier hard found tips. I would love to have the technical expertise to add some mods to the game. Perhaps some wise sub captain could guide me.

Just a quick hello, not played any subsims since the 90's, but I saw a vid somewhere of SH5 and decided to hunt it out (apologies for pun), found it yesterday and installed tonight.

Poss some questions coming soon, possibly not.
