was just wondering if there is a real time chat anywhere for these games?

I take it you mean voice chat or something more like IRC or instant-messaging?

Subsim's Radioroom has no official chat but you can find members through IM, like Yahoo, or on one of the many TeamSpeak and Ventrilo servers of the multiplayer groups.
