I wonder about that bearing indicator that I can get by clicking the questionmark in the TDC... Is it possible to get that one in the nav-view?

Ok, I'm sorry... I'll try to formulate that question in a little more convenient way.
How do I get it there? |

I believe if you just scroll in far enough on the nav map, you'll get it.

Zoom in to the max on your nav map. IIRC the bearing lines are the last two zoom levels.
Are you running any mods? I know OLC's mod and Mikyal's ACM GUI mod(based on OLC's GUI with some tweaks) doesn't allow to zoom that far and you lose the bearing lines.

OK try this:
Zoom all the way in. Put your mouse arrow in the center of the screen then hold the CTRL key and click the mouse. That will center your map on the sub. If you just zoom in, it does not necessarily keep your sub centered.

Well, it is certainly possible. People have used other kinds of bearing circles in the navmap aswel. I can't remember if that is part of stock Sh3. If it is, maybe your graphicscard and/or drivers can't handle the large bitmap that is used for it.
Here is a link (to ubisoft forum) that shows which files produce the bearing wheel. You could check that file in a graphics file viewer (capable of opening the .tga format, and show the transparency channel) and see if what you want is allready in those files. If not you can search further mods using those Pato bearing grids. And it is probably also somewhere uploaded here in the download-section of Subsim. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tp...2&m=5431068603 |
