Default Walking around your sub

Is there a way to walk around your sub like in Ship Simulator 2008? You would probbely have to use the camera controls for fee cam except raise lower camer but everything else like look up look down ect. The only problem would have to be solid objects like the hull people peroscopes ect. There has to be some way to do that. I have no idea I don\'t have the modding skills for this game mine focus on Take Command 2nd Manassas. This walking around has been bugging me eversince I got the game.

Hello LvH and welcome to SubSim.

As far as I know, there's no such mod. There is cameramods that let you move around with the free camera on the deck of the sub and such, but there's no 'real' 1st person walking thingy dingy mod.

But I must agree with you, it has been bugging me too since I got the game.

I am probably completely missing the point here, but doesn't Shift + F2 allow you to walk around the control room and if you use the open hatch mod you can walk through the hatch into the radio/sonar compartment. You are probably after something a bit more sophisticated perhaps.

They are talking about something like 3d shooters.

@Cpt.Nemo

No, it allows you to float around.

@cemwhatsamacallit

Yes, something along those lines.

If you have played Ship Simulator 2008 then you know what I am talking about. I played the game for 4 years always wished I could do that and I didn't see a game that had something like that until Ship sim. 08.

I've played it, only briefly tho, but IIRC you could walk around the ship without 'floating' around, but all the railings etc. blocked your movement, right?

My son has ship sim 07 and 08 installed on my pc but I can't honestly say I've ever done anything other than watch him play.

Get yersel a good swig or three of rum down yer neck, press Shift + F2 and you'll never realise the difference
