Cause every time im being DCed hardcore mode, i loose both or 1dead 1wounded, the guys in the radio room.
From all the guys i lost till now, 50% were the radiomen and 50% the rest (flak gunners, watchmen, various other) |

Probably just bad luck. The hulls the same, so your radiomen are just prone to horrible deaths. Like an old story about a sock and it's 1WOs

Not that I'd know anything about it, but since Destroyer maneuvering is pretty predictable most of the time, is it possible that you are just making the same mistake over and over again? I mean, the radio room is damaged in all these attacks, right? Or does another part of the ship get hit and they die anyway?
I'd be curious to know what kind of evasive maneuvers you use, and when. I suffer disproportionate aft torpedo room damage because my attempts to dust off an escorts stern and change course don't always work. Other than that, I have no ideas.

What? You didn't get the hydrophone upgrade? Stop making your sonar crew put their heads to the hull to listen. There's microphones thesedays!

Actually, when a destroyer comes above me, i usually go from slow to full speed and a sudden turn to avoid any possible periscope or radio antena damage.
Most of the times i do avoid Conning Tower damage for Stern Torpedo Room or rudder damage. And maybe some slight engine damage. But im telling you, when ever a DC goes off near the conning tower, the radio crew is sailing to heaven. PS The 1st WO story is true. Thats why i ALWAYS have some specialized Deck Gun crew, so i wont have the WO's life at steak. I've lost 3 till i got the crew i needed. |
