Default SubSim Aviators' Racing Challenge

Whaaat is this??

A bunch of courses where you will try to get the best time in SubSim, fame and glory and all that crap, yaay.

How it works?

I, Dowly, the master of Universe, will tell you the course and provide link to it if needed. You are allowed to modify the mission only by changing your plane.

For timing, I suggest recording an track, starting from when you go past the starting point of the course in question, that way it's easy to check the time from the track.

Also, if you want your time to be added to the first post you must take an screenshot of your plane crossing the finish line. Ow and tell us the plane you used.

Only the top 3 will be added to the first post, the best time of the pilot counts.

Current course (DeadlineSunday the 25th)
I16 Cup Dinoco, Normal

Download the modified mission file and extract it to the mission folders in your IL2 1946 folder.
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?wygnn0qnwnz

As in the "Tuberun", you can pick any plane you want.

We did some of those courses online with a couple of JG53 blokes a few months back, and it was hell of a fun

At first the most certain strategy to win was to survive, since you could count on everyone crashing at some point. Then people started to improve, and we actually managed to do some racing on the courses.

Yup, that's the IL2 cup race map pack. The for good pilots thing is a training campaign with different situations to test your piloting skills, out of fuel landings to carries, landing to very tight spaces etc. etc.

Sorry.... just couldn't resist this one!

BF109G2 through the course in 55 seconds!

Just don;t ask me how many times it took JUST to get through - let alone with a half decent time! That track certainly wasnt built with a 109 in mind! Nor was it built for a machine that stutters with too many ground objects! Damn Vista!
