Default [rel] new optics+stadimeter for olc gui 127,NEW VERSION 2 IS OUT (27/11/08)

UPDATED 5/12/2008

new optics+stadimeter v2-set x6

if you use this set remember that the numbers at vertical (and horizontal) line are matched with x6 zoom level.so ,if you are at x6 zoom just read the number at vertical scale and put it on the rings(DON'T double the mast).if you are at x15 zoom level remember to divide the numbers by 2.5 and then put them on the rings

new optics+stadimeter v2-set x15

the only reason i haven't release that earlier is that i am not very good at graphic programmes and as you will see the rotation i made at the inner disc is visible(but this is the best i can do)
at this set the rings (and the numbers at vertical and horizontal line) are setted for the x15 zoom level.
so,if you are at x15 zoom just read the number at vertical scale and put it on the rings(NO double mast).if you go at x6 zoom ,remember to multiplie numbers with 2.5 and then put them on the rings
you will notice a new scratch mark (beside 20 at aob numbers) this mark shows you the speed when you use the x15 set.

some screens:

ps1:a big thank to joegrundman for his amazing u-jagd tools and to olc for his amazing gui !

ps2: i remove the version 1 becuase it uses the old cameras and the stadimeter didn't work properly

ps3: also fix a little problem that some pixels 'dancing' at the horizon when you were at x1.5 zoom

ps4:also fix the camera at obs scope

they are jsgme ready, you can find them at http://hosted.filefront.com/makman94/

enjoy

very nice, good idea to reimplement the stadimeter! i will give it a try now.

edit: have tested it some minutes ago and had two issues. i am playing in german language. the word "entfernung" for range is too long, thats why the range is not readable. where can i change this word to perhaps entf.? and second: after taking a range reading, there is no possibility to send it to TDC by pressing the ok button. is there a pssibility to do so? or do i have to put it in there manually?

edit2: german players have to edit line 2002 in menu_de.cfg in the olc core files mod. there, they will find in line 2002 "entfernung". change it to "entf." and you can take accourate readings.

hello jaeger,
i haven't change the gameplay of olc's gui.
so the ok button is there only to close the stadimeter.you have to put the range manually on tdc

did you like the new scope zoom?

bye

thank you Ktl_KUrtz, now you can calculate distances at 4.5 km with +-20 meters fault ! need some practice but it works perfect.try find, if you don't have it,the MouseMeasure mod(its not mine so i didn't put it in filefront )its perfect acurate ruler and you will see that the distance is +-20 meters.

btw,in my rush, i released the first aobfouterdisc image (if fact the right one needs all the vertical scale one pixel done) i will upload now the correct image so download the new one

good hunting....

hello everybody, after a request of a friend (he wasn't pleased with the numbers at vertical scale) i made a new aobfouterdisc image for him (its only for version 2). the numbers that you will see at this image are match with the x6 zoom (warning :with these new numbers you DON'T double the mast.simply read the number at vertical scale, put it on the rings, find the mast(no double) at outer ring and there is the range)
if you go to x15 zoom remember that you have to divide the number of vertical scale by 2.5
the new image is at my filefront page (see post 1). just replace the old one with this new image if you like to try it (and keep what you like most)

bye

Just a small question, do I need to install OLC GUI totally (olc core files+double mast values) or only the core files, since with this mod we do not use those values. Or did I get it wrong?
