Default Any groups that play MP regularly?

I am wanting to get into this game again, but would like to try and do regular wolf packs via multiplayer. I applied to a group who linked from this thread not too long ago, but have gotten no response. Are there any groups that play multiplayer regularly that could use an extra skipper?

Or any other individuals who would like to get together?

I have a HIGH interest in this. PM me to get things going. Would help if you have Team Speak installed and running. Eliminates all this text chat b.s. so we can help each other instead of all these damn text messages. Got a server [TS server] we can use to get us up and going assuming you have the interest of doing this.

I will download teamspeak ASAP. I live in the Eastern United States, and would be available a few nights a week. I can be pretty flexible on time. Ideally, I would want to kind of work out a regular schedule of playing sessions(I tend to squander away too much time with MP games otherwise).

Well, Captain Scibb have beat out out brains for two and half hours trying to get Multi Player working in SH4 - tonight - 7/11/08.

Casual oberservation .... it's all messed up. Why in prime time gaming time do we not see ANY games going on at ubi.com server? Looks like the entire thing is broken.

We [me and Captain Scribb] had the advantage of using Team Speak to try various "things" instead of text chat and/or PMs - so communication was a total non-issue.

I even broke down and got the owners manual out and followed the port forwarding on page 81 of the owners manual ... nadda ... zip.., nothing.

Our problem is the ever so famous Latency is 999 on the host PC and the other person can NOT join the game.

Google research ended up with countless dead ends - Many people with the SAME problem and NO ANSWER[s].

Any ideas, folks?

We are two gentlemen that just want a nice night of SH4 multi player gaming and have simple FUN doing it.

I play MP with 2-3 others (and an Occasional 4th player) on Saturdays and/or Sundays about noon MST time as it seems to fit our schedules (we're flexible though).

I can't host a game as I experience the same problems you do. I'm still working on it, as I'd love to host games. There are many players who've figured out how to host. If I do I'll post how I did it here for the benefit of others.

Please do let us know if you find out the solution to hosting. As for your weekend games, if there is room for more send me a pm. I would love to do some patrols tomorrow.

I got the hosting thing sorted out by going to Portforwarding.com and using the instructions to set up a static ip and the forwarding instructions for my modem/ router. It worked!

Two of us played an MP at UBI (our third player couldn't be there today). We've had up to 4 players before and we use stock as well as missions created by us. We play SH4 1.4 no mods as it seems the easiest way to get all players in the game w/o dropping. We play for fun, to have a good time. Join us if you can.

I plan on hosting another MP tonight. Here's the info:

Time: 9:00 pm Mountain Standard Time (-7 GMT)
Server: UBI
Game Name: SurfnSea SH4 1.4
Password: Surf
SH Version: SH4 1.4 no mods

How about a direct linky link for SH4? I will go there and research, but thanks for your comments. I was getting ready to throw in the towel.

Edit:
Here is the CORRECT domain name and deals with SH4 MP ONLY!

http://portforward.com/english/appli...cificindex.htm

Sure hopes this works and the rest of you have FUN playing MP again in SH4.

The list is a "how to" config your router to host a SH4 MP game.

Saturday, 7/19, we had 3 players for mp. Sunday, 7/20, we had 3 players as well. Two of the players played both days; we had 4 different players altogether.

Most often, Saturday and Sunday are the days we do mp. Sometimes I'll be online hosting late week nights (Mountain Standard Time) during the summer.

The only game I have played online is Falcon. So just for info since it may apply to others games as well. If you are behind a router, you need a static IP for the computer. The router still gets it's IP from your provider. Just trying to give what little info I know, maybe it will help.
