I see from your site that you are required to undertake regular missions each week.Where are you based? If the US then im afriad the time difference will be too much of a hinderance.

Hello andym,

We have missions every day at various times, and we also have
members in Europe (Italy, Belgium, Netherlands)

Currently the only "SCHEDULED" patrols are on saturdays (all day), we have a joint
Patrol with "The Wolves Den" on saturday evenings......

Scheduled patrols are NOT required for membership......

For the most part, we are loctaed within the USA.

We play "vanilla" SH3 and GWX 2.1, depending on if the ubi servers are acting up we also make use of Hamachi.

We play various types of missions. Sometimes we play missions based on missions that occurred in real life, generated missions or an "original" mission.

We play generally play "normal" difficulty, but from time to time we play harder difficulties.

We use teamspeak, not required to have a microphone, but it wouldn't hurt to have one.
No particular skill needed.

What is required is the desire to have fun.

This is the report from my Test Patrol from when I applied to join the 8th.

Quote:
Test Patrol Settings:

June, 1941
Small Convoy
Small Escorts, Average.

This is his technically his first time playing online but has played single player at 54% realism for a number of years.

When within 2-3km of the single escort, he took three long shots, all of which missed, alerting the destroyer to his presence. He again pulled the destroyer towards him by alternating between slow and ahead flank and was killed on the second pass of the destroyer.
As you can see, effectiveness is not the most important issue in regards to joining the flotilla.
