Hello All, nice to join you all finally. I guess I have not had any problems from SH1 to SH4 until now. I have the new addon 1.05 and have enjoyed online missions with my friends for some time using ver 1.04. however after installing 1.05 (Addon) when I, or my friends host a server using random missions it loads then disconnects all players except the host within a few seconds of hitting the start button. This does not occur if we use one of the standard missions, only the random ones. I have had no other problems in the past with SH4 nor have my friends. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue and does anyone have any suggestions.
I have made sure that firewall settings and router settings have not changed and I have the appropriate ports open on the router with port forwarding, so do my friends. This problem is certainly annoying as we like to use the random missions to vary the game play. I particularly like being able to add rain etcetera or just hunt a convoy with no escort after a hard day at work and release some tension. Look forward to some help. Good Hunting from the old sea dog - CAPT FOX (Royal Australian Navy 1979 to 1987) Addendum 07 April 2008: I have uninstalled ver 1.05 and reinstalled patching to 1.04. My friends and I can now play the random missions (Oh well so much for the addon) If anyone from UBI should be reading this you might wanna have a look at this problem and see if it is occurring else where because It has effectively turned me off the addon because of the restrictions on the types of games I can play multiplayer with 1.05 installed. I did like the new features that had been added with 1.05 such as the buttons and little indicators for silent running etc. Wonder why you did not release a patch with these features for other people who did not wish to have an addon. You have made it difficult for people to be able to play on line as neither version is compatible with one another???????? Last edited by CAPT FOX; 04-07-2008 at 05:57 AM. |

Allo CAPT FOX,
I haven't tried hosting random missions in MP so I can't help you but I see that with standard missions there are no issues. Only thing I can think of is a new Patch 1.6 to fix that problem |
