Has there been any progress on the mod that was going to give surface ships realistic turning, acceleration, deceleration etc?

I was sort of wondering about that too, I just hate when a destroyer suddenly sees my torpedo and almost instantaneously accelerates to 30 + knots and gets outta the way.
