Did this all start over a screenshot someone had edited? I know about Bernard, but never understood exactly how the term was coined.

When your boat gets a problem, It is more than likely bernards fauld. He was made up and people have used his name when something goes rong ever since.

Yep he is a german spy who travled to america to damage and distroy there ships then the Americans ship him to britian so the americans have a chance, then he his plan is to get picked up by a U boat that it waiting for him in the English Channel to go back to Germany.
 I will distroy your boat. Amasingly my name starts with the same letter as Bernards.:rotfl:
