Yes. Some elaboration would be nice-is it going to be a mod, AI only, just something
you're messing around with? The expansion has the XVIII I believe.

^ x2 Take it back to the Atlantic, U-Boats just do not belong in the Pacific... I cannot 'fathom' why people want to have these things in SH4, if you want to play submarines as a German, play SH3 with GWX. Why not devote this creative energy to something realistic, like a playable Japanese submarine campaign. Get over it

...and whats it's max.speed at schnorkel-depth?
Probably still a whopping 21kts, right?

It's a great sub, but the SH-implementation needs allot of work.
The latest GWX-version brought the XXI to some sort of reasonable standard, but the model still lacks in almost every department.

I hope the upcoming Uboat-addon offers possibilities to bring this Uboat to a full deployment.

It is not fully functional
The Flaks have no crew and the 3d crew is missing
But it ist fun to ride over the waves with it

Nice pics Xantrokoles

The sub looks pretty clean on the exterior. The SH4 engine makes things like this worth doing. The addon will make it even better for those who love the U-boats.

If it isn't easy to get it here, then ordering it from the US is a good idea. If I order a game from the store here, it sometimes takes two weeks... but If I order from the US, sometimes it only takes 3 days

I bought all my Guild Wars games from the US. Much faster.

The people who like SH3 still want SH4's transparent water and better crew management system. There's nothing wrong with that. There's also nothing wrong with the idea of a Japanese submarine campaign, but this is what was released, so it looks like you're the one who'll have to "get over it".

I think it might already be in SHIII/GWX to some extent. Looking upwards from beneath the surface I can see the upper part of my boat and the tower. In calm weather anyway. As for the add-on it would to my mind have made far more sense to make a playable set of Japanese submarine missions. U-boats in the pacific does seem a little odd.

I was at the http://www.pacificwrecks.com/search/ website the other day and I noticed that the Germans had a main u-boat base in Penanag, Malaysia starting in late Aug. 1943 with satellite bases in Singapore, Batavia (Djakarta), Surabaya, and Kobe. They also operated Arado Ar196's with Japanese markings.
