Default Best wishes to Leovampire! Get well soon!

Hey Leo.

Didn't know you were going in for surgery.

Get well soon man. Your the nucleus-member of the modding community and one heck of a guy. I wish more people in this world were as tenacious as you.

Best wishes to you and yours.

Hi there Leo. Would like to echo what my friend Alex is saying there. Have seen your work on SH4 and its dynamite. Really good! I used ROW when I gave SH4 a real good test that time.

All the best to you!

All the best!

"Penelope", you say?
A woman captain???
I thought women were never allowed to join a submarine crew... :hmm:
not that it would implies me having a sudden burst of misogynous feelings...(not the least isn't it eheh?)

Nah, just kidding!
At least, if you're a woman, that's a welcome first (or so) here (at least for me, since i saw that you were here for quite a time and quite some posts! but then again, i almost never goes out of that SH4 mods workshop forum...)

Sorry Penny. :p

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Leo.

Just remember, that you are more important than mod stuff any day.

Sure, most have probably gotten to know you by your mod-work and no doubt a few just want you to recover so's you can make more toys for them...

Ferget 'em.

To me, you are a cool cat, mate... and an easy guy to like.

GEZUNDHEIT!

Default Thanks everyone for the concern and well wishes!

I do truly apreciate it a lot. It is good to be home and I mean both my homes here and where I live!

Nice to have a true sence of purpose in life and this place and all of you have helped me in more ways than one that way. Both in recoveries as well as with taking my mind off of things!

I have started to go through all the files in the game to see every thing that has changed.

First priority will be to apply the ROW work to the new game files and repost the downloads for everyone totaly 1.4 compliant.

And once it is done seeing the Dev's didn't fix the phrases as I was told it would be I will get it going again and get that out.

I sent a question to the Dev's about how they applied my ocean work because it is not in the scene file so I can figure out what I need to do to get the other scene file work I did compatable without screwing up their work in the new patch.

You know work with them instead of against them.

First I have to fix the DC droping problem of course that came from my search light repairs. It is related to the mod Tater did IJN DC mod I had it in my game and forgot about it instead of useing stock files.

But unlike before I am going to take my time as I am getting tired fast since I got home with the slower heart rate control from the new pacemaker.

Anyways again thanks for all the concern and well wishes and thanks to Alex for showing me this thread in a PM as I had not seen it yet!

Welcome Penelope_Grey Nice to see a woman around the forum to keep the others on their toe's!!!

Anyways good to be home with you all again!

Dave

I'm glad to see you came through okay, Leo. Get better, for your own sake (and selfishly, for ours ).

I can think of at least of at least four others, one of whom has been around (more or less) for longer than almost any of us.

Take your time Dave. I am finding out the hardway that files that were seemingly safe - are probably not, regardless if the patch touched them or not.

Its very interesting because a good measure of the changes occured, without touching the files that the modders would normally touch to effect change. (20KM max visual distance without touching the scene.dat is a good example.)

I am finding them linked to things they were not linked to before. I think this is in preperation to the new add on DVD they are working on.

File structures have changed and so have the links to them and how they work. I have noticed that half of the ROW work has to be redone so far due to small changes in the 1.4 patch work.

Compairing the link's in the node's from old to new there are subtle changes that can make new problems.

God I wish I could get into those locked up files for the game I know there are some goodies in there I would love to work with right now.

The only thing I am appliing to my game at the moment is only dds files and or tga. They are safe to use as far as I can tell although I am sure there are new ones I just have to find them all.

I am worried about the scene.dat file though until I get an answer from the Dev's to my question. As it dosn't seem to be linked to the game like it use to be in effect's.

The shaders files and other area's of the game seem to have more control than they use to for the environment.
