SH3 in linux?

Does anyone know if it is possible til get SH3 to work in linux?

It can be done but you need proper emulators for the DirectX and the graphics.

Yes...I have seen screenies of it running in Linux. How well or fast I cannot say!

It works. A bit slower than usual, and a bit tricky to get running, but it works.

When I try to update to v 1.4b I get the errormessage that sh3.dll couldnt be modifyed..

A friend of mine just bought SH3 and was frustrated when trying to update to 1.4b. Seems he kept getting a message which sounds very much like the one you're getting. He got his from the same retailer I bought my copy from and mine was already v1.4 out of the box. He checked his and found he could not update because his was already v1.4 too. Might be worth checking.
