Default (WIP) Modified 7C grey on red

I had a request by linerkiller to do up a sub...now Im not much for the rusted look but this is what im working on...
Added water exits throughout sides ( see post ) and am currently working on rusting it out...(per request)
I hope this will be an added addition to anyones arsenal...comments appreciated...ill let you all know when it's released...

Heres the correct pic...

well...THAT'S ROCK!!!!!!
Exactly like my dreams!
I hope in a similar release for Typ IXB and IXD

Thank you mate!!!!

Not to be annoyant, but a little rust around the saddle tanks and it would be perfect....they looks too clean...and maybe some encrustments and dirt at the waterline between grey and red (in this palce real hulls are dirty because of the harbor's water pollution)

Agreed LK,the hull needs a bit of 'weathering'to make it match the fine turm and then it would be perfect, another gorgeous piece of work KoonDawg

Tex you need to increase the variety of those rust marks, it looks like you've got a bunch of rusted tiger stripes on the saddle. ...just my two cents bro

Other than that, looks good

SWCowboy is right...rust maybe only two-three holes in the central part of the saddle tank...Lets fade a bit more the rust..there is too much contrast between the grey and the encrustments....If you have SH4 look at the unmodded model of the late war Gato-Balao skin....the saddletank rust effect is perfect
The rust colour is very good

Waterline effect

Thank you for your patience as always

Note the rust....you can use this scheme also for the hull of the 7c....Don't care to add the rust exactly under the holes, but random it more...germans are obsessed with perfection...but not at this level

Not keen on that rust. Rust is the enemy of the water vessel! But, the pics in that first post are awesome... the VIIC is not my fave boat, but it is the lushest looking of all the U-boats.

Great Skin!!!!

Yep, rusts will look awesome. One thing though, the third row of flood holes above the waterline is not historically accurate...

During the Gulf War (91) General Schwarzkopf said after two weeks of war:

Here you can see the saddle tank rust effect...as you can see, rust is concentrated in few points(1 or 2)

I realize this fact and couldn't agree with you more...by me doing this is simply adding some eye candy to the sub...say my own design/signature...nothing wrong with that I hope...something different for the user...hope you can see this point of view...

AS far as the rust Liner...those are actually referred to as leach marks...(hope im correct on this...or ill hear it later) but this is what im coming up with so far...ill work on the rust (leach) marks on the saddle tanks next....
